Chantal Goyette works in the Chief Data Officer Branch of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as the director of Data Development and Reporting. Since 2019, her principal functions are to provide leadership for the development and management of data as a strategic asset for the department and to support and stimulate greater use and availability of data in support of program and policy development. Prior to this role, Chantal provided leadership, advice and guidance in the development and conduct of evaluations over the last 19 years. Chantal has managed multiple complex evaluations across all sectors of IRCC including the recent Express Entry Evaluation, the Provincial Nominee Program Evaluation and the Rapid Impact Evaluation on the Syrian Refugee Initiative.
Chantal holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master Degree in Sociology from l’Université de Montréal. As part of her degrees and work experience, she gained solid skills in the areas of methodology, data analysis and statistics with internationally renowned immigration professors/experts.
