Frédéric Dufour

Holder of a bachelor’s degree in forest engineering (1997), Frédéric Dufour began his career in the forest industry and in geomatics consulting. He joined the Government of Quebec in 2002, and until 2012 he held professional positions in forest management, the development of computer systems and strategic forest planning. A manager since 2012, he has worked in the fields of forest management, forest inventories, forest protection and forest research. He is currently director general of forest knowledge at the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks where he ensures the development of Quebec’s activities in forest inventory, forest research and knowledge dissemination.
